| Hey everybody, I've posted a similar thread a while back on FloridaAirsoft and I since I've been doing more things with you guys lately, I figured I should spread it over to this forum. Here's the situation. I'm looking for some good people to be the main characters and zombie extras and some helping hands on the set (securiy maybe so people won't freak out when they see us filming? hmm). Wardrobe for main characters doesn't have to be too tactical, just an assortment of clothes or bdus that give the look of post apocalyptic militia members (light loadout with no armor or helmets, think about what you'd carry in a zombie scenario). As for zombies, clothing that you wouldn't mind getting dirtied up and bloody would be great (same goes for main actors, but to a smaller degree). This is all voluntary and will be an UNPAID gig. As far as weapons go, suppressed weapons are preferred, including sidearms. They don't have to be too big either, some nice rifles (AKs, M4s, G36s, etc) or SMGs (MP5s would be great) and all have to be pretty real looking (it'll make it more convincing on screen and special fx for gunshots will be easier too). Knifes would be needed too, so stunt knifes or anything to that effect would be great. I'm also looking for some good locations to film this project that's in the Orlando area. The kind of environment I'm looking for is a somewhat derelict urban environment (indoors and outdoors) that may look convincing for a post-apocalyptic setting. Factories or warehouses might be good or like empty apartment buildings or whatever. I'd like for the places to be within the Orlando area, or at least not too far. Some things to consider is that some of the tougher shots will be exterior scenes, so I would want to avoid areas where background noise or activity might be problematic. But don't let that keep you from suggesting good places, I'll need every bit I can get. To help give everyone a good idea of what I'm going to be making, I've uploaded a detailed scene-by-scene summary of the entire project. You can download it by following the link. http://www.mediafire.com/?imidmzzynddI appreciate any and all help. | |

| I may have found a location for filming. Theres an uncompleted/abandoned hotel project just off of I-4 in Lake Buena Vista. Its located on the east side just past the old Dolly Parton Country Dinner Show theatre ie: the big ass yellow barn. You can actually see the unfinished building from the road. Its about 2 stories tall has no doors or windows and its littered with junk. This may also be used for a future CQB game once we secure permission to use the site.So stand tuned folks | |

| Hey Steve-O, would you mind sending pics of that M4? I'd like to see if we can use the weapon and have it feature more prominently within the film. I'm still looking for locations by the way and am going to take care of a lot of string-pulling over the holidays. I'll be gone for 2 weeks and won't be back until late on the 4th. Hopefully the film commission can cut me a good break and I can secure good locations without having to spend any money on permits. But one of the guidelines might be that I have to have some sort of security on location during filming (so to keep the set clear and to make sure nobody panics if they see the prop weapons being used), so I could use some help with that too. | |

| I just had a friend overhear a conversation I had about the zombie movie you will be producing and he offered to make some tracks. He's very talented and I've heard variations of death metal to alternative from him. He says he's got some equipment to make some pretty good sounds for horror. Later! | |

| Hey guys, I hope you all enjoyed the holidays. Dropping in here to give another update on the status of this zombie project. Well we're already a week into the new year and yet no script... Well, I spent my break getting some needed rest and relaxed my brain and took it easy for a few weeks. Since then (and more so lately now that school has started up), I had been mulling over the project as a whole. With everything I'm busy with right now at school and taking into consideration future endeavors in class projects and schoolwork, I'm sad to say that this project might be put on hold. I'm still holding onto the hope that by some miracle, I can pull this off, but until I get some more feedback on the stuff I still need and confirm whether I'm able to secure the production resources (locations, talent, extras, makeup, props/wardrobe, crew) it looks like I'm going to have to save this thing for later down the road as a possible class project (this would help me a lot since I wouldn't be so on-my-own). This kinda sucks because there wouldn't be any guarantee that my story will be picked up by the teachers to be made. So the best that I can do is to try and draft the script when time allows it and continue procuring resources. So yeah, this thing is being put on hold, not sure if it'll be made Good news though, this whole ordeal has made me better aware of how much I can do. And since I'm making a quick side project with other students this month, I'll finally make some awesome stuff (which is why I wanted to do the zombie flick). What will this mean for you guys?? Since I've gotten real and know not to go too big with my stuff, I'm ready to flesh out some cool ideas that won't be too dramatic or very demanding of other people. That means no need to look for extras, makeup artists for zombification, no need for hard to find filming locations, and not too heavy on acting abilities; just good fun filmmaking. So I may have pulled the plug on the zombie movie, but that doesn't mean that my new stuff won't involve you guys either. Believe me, whatever I work on next will have some kind of involvement from you because I know you can bring to the table some awesome stuff for my projects that none of the other students have. Anyways, thanks for the help you provided, I really appreciate it. | |

| I've already made a reply on the FA thread when I updated mine there.
It looks like I'll be good to go on the 24th as of this moment, I'll try to keep that date clear.
I just had an idea about a video for the game too. If the players could stay in character, I could make like a survivor video journal Cloverfield style. | |
