Subject: For $6 I Upgraded my SAW box mag to a UV tracer (caution: Macguyver stuff inside) Mon Jan 18, 2010 9:02 pm
Went to Radio Shack today out of boredom. Made this. Houses two Ultraviolet LEDs, one in the actual box and one in the loader where it connects to the gun and barrel. Now all i need is some glow in the dark BBs, preferably orange.
Put a push in/on, push in/off button to operate it.

Just remember, no matter how cool tracers are to watch, they work both ways..lol Looks like a cool idea and very inexpensive.

did u test it tedder? i think the most effectiveness of these is when they come out of the barrel not in the mag but i may be wrong

I figure two things...
One, its UV light which glow in the dark things love
Two, the gun loads and fires so fast it hopefully wont matter.
I need BBs to test it. The ones in the pics are just my regular white ones. Know where to get some Glow in the darks locally?

Well they actually sell magazines for tracers that just have the blacklights in the magazines. And they are just as effective as the tracers. The only question is if it's lighting up the bbs that are going to come out of the barrel next or just the ones on top. Only way to see if it works is to put tracers in and try it out.
