Regarding the Truck... Empty
PostSubject: Regarding the Truck...   Regarding the Truck... EmptyMon Jan 25, 2010 4:27 pm

Regarding the Ttuck.... First of all we were never made aware of the Ornages counting as kills. We came in there twice and two guys picked up oranges and threw it in the truck. Both times we did go back to respawn ( we went to a diffrent one since we couldn't get the truck to the designated respawn. We then called in Shar asking about the oranges and said that the oranges would not count as kills anymore.

About the whole entire shooting up thing. When you guys poured into the truck, we were ducked down pretty much the whole entire time. It's not like we weren't standing up and fireing back at you guys, we had at least 100 bb's fall on us from richochets. I'd like to point out that 95% it was them fireing at us hiding in little corners of the truck and 5% of us quiclky popping up and shooting back.

I was the only guy from my team that went to vietnam game, and I do not appreciate us getting blammed for s@#$ other people did. When Teder came up t ous and told us that Richochets counted, we told him that we were hit plenty of times by richochets we backed out and went back to respawn.

I can understand how some of you guys are upset about this especially Tedder since the is ussually one of thoe coolest guys around, but I think your are exagerating the sotry to where it sounds like we all took 25 bullets to the head and we didn't calll it.

I apologize for the mix up of rules and we will woprk with Shar regarding rules with the truck, we may not even use it again, we prefer to run around anyways. We are a highly respected team in TC/6mm and Mind games, don't believe us, ask Mac or Coco about W.I.R.C or Boss's guys, they would swear by us.

About Justin(driver) staying in the car. There apprenttly was a case were the Americans highjaced the car for awhile and later on we discovered a large dent in the car. Shar told him to stay with his truck, he knew you hit him fireman, in fact apprenttly someone teagged him with a sniper rifle from about 45 feet away and he started to bleed ( or so I was told) I don't what to say about him shooting though, I can not justify that, (maybe he was just pissed?)

We would like to say thank you for Shar to letting us come out here, we will think about using the truck, depending on future circumstances.

I know that I'm not the coolest guy on the forums, but I thought that I was at liked by the community. After the game I can feel the negativity and I am highly reconsidering that previous judgement. You didn't see us spazz out about us when we were told Richochets now apprentlly counted, we calmy said okay and we backed out.

THIS WAS ALSO THE RUSSIAN ONLY TACITICAL ADVANTAGe, NOTICE AS SOON AS YOU TOOK THE TRUCK OUT OF PLAY YOU TOOK THE FOB AND THE HQ?

RICOCHETTES DO NOT COUNT AS HITS GUYS. NOT ON FIREZONE
In real world, a bullet will never ricochette of a metal truck, it will go through it. so they do not count at any circumstance.

and we all need to give a BIG thank you for the guys in the red truck for bringing it to the game! instead of this lynch that I see unfolding right in front of my eyes. not cool.
I personally saw the whole QRT truck team spawn at least 5 times, if anything, they got killed more than other people in the whole game.

I dont want us to turn into the whole negative mentality of other sites, we all need to be COOL like 2 fonzys with each other otherwise my games will turn into something none of us will like.

whos donating a decent good truck to be shot at, and used as a shied from 100's of bb's???? DO I SEE ANY VOLUNTEERS? and than run into a tree and damaged? plus let other players drive it? ANYONE?

thank you W.I.R.C. we would like you guys to come again. I personally apologize for any offensive comments meant against you guys on my forum. if anyone has done so, its because they probably have encountered other dishonest players and are sick of it and not because anyone has anything against you guys. again, thanks.
I will have 4 dedicated admins on the next game and this is A GUARANTEE. anyone who knows me knows I dont just talk and BS. I DO WHAT I SAY my word is steal.

p.s. we will be more clear with everyone regarding the use of a vehicle if you guys are kind enough to donate us one after all we said.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING, AND NEVER WILL BE - A PERFECT AIRSOFT GAME! WE ARE DEALING WITH HUMAN BEHAVIOR AND THAT CANNOT BE CHANGED.WE ARE ALL HUMAN. WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES. THAT IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY.

JUST TO PUT THINGS IN PROPORTION - THE PEOPLE IN HAITI CAN ONLY DREAM OF HAVING OUR PROBLEMS WITH A RED TRUCK BEING SHOT AT RIGHT NOW... GET IT?

PostSubject: Re: Regarding the Truck...   Regarding the Truck... EmptyMon Jan 25, 2010 4:52 pm

No, I wasn't the 45 foot shot. I was back in the 100-150 foot range. I'm not a fan of the 50 foot rule myself and am used to snipers being restricting to 100 foot as per MGP. Not saying 50 feet is not enough but since people obviously can't seem to tell how far 50 feet is, 100 feet is a better rule since it puts people at more in the 70-75 foot range. The night before I spent an hour shooting at a box at 200 feet (measured with a roll of kite string) to get my scope and hop up all calibrated.

I think it was me who said about it being the same people from the Vietnam game. As I mentioned in the later post, what I said was more or less my reports of what other team mates were saying. When people said that players weren't calling hits and I asked who it was much of the time I was met with responses of "the same (swear word) as at the last game!".

I'm VERY happy to hear that it was not those same guys in the truck! I apologize even more for believing the team mates at face value. Really, with the uniform changes and such, it would have been hard for them to really know who was who from the game before...

Once again, thank you for bringing the truck out. It sucks that it got dented. Sucks that whoever took it over had so little respect for your property.

Sorry Fireman if it sounded like I said you were the Sniper, I don't even think that you were sniping that game.

We apreciate the understanding now and I'll stop whining about how everyone is out to get us now.

Regarding the Truck... Empty
PostSubject: Re: Regarding the Truck...   Regarding the Truck... EmptyMon Jan 25, 2010 5:06 pm

No don't worry at all Badtrooper! I said I had shot at the driver at one point with my sniper rifle. I'd have suspected me too! :-D Ha ha ha

Hearing that though made me fee that if the truck is used in the future we should have the driver keep the window up. Make him actually not able to be killed but also unable to shoot. Keep it so he can drive the truck and maintain control over it without worry of being shot, especially at close range. In past games at Blanding, if you didn't have an RPG the only way to stop a truck was the kill the driver. We were also at greater ranges so it was safer.

With regards to rules for the truck, I'd propose that if someone inside gets shot that they raise a red rag and get out of the truck (while it is stopped). If it is doing a full drive by, they should do their best to raise a red rag so that people from the ground know a hit was made.

-If the truck is hit by an M203 or a rocket then it should be out of play for a said amount of time. When "destroyed" the driver and maybe the front passenger should hang a red rag out so as they drive they are not shot at again. They should go back to a designated location and be required to wait for a specific amount of time (10-15 min?) Anyone inside the truck who no longer wants to ride in the truck should get out and go to respawn as per the games respawn rules. If anyone wishes to remain in the truck when it respawns they wait with it until it is back in play. New players still have to wait for the truck itself to respawn based on the time though even if the driver changes.

-Drivers should be specific and pre-approved by the owner. At no point should anyone unapproved be behind the wheel. This should be for both the sake of the owner as well as to keep Shar out of hot water if someone gets run over (it's happened... The reason why MGP no longer allows vehicles at Wayne's World)

Have vehicle rules where you can kill the vehicle via RPG hit or two grenade/satchel charge hits. First one disables second one sends it to respawn. Anyone in the cab dies with the vehicle anyone in the bed of the vehicle is fair game for live AEG fire. Simple. No need for the driver to get shot up as he dies with the vehicle. The driver should not be able to shoot he needs to concentrate on driving.

A little bicycle flag that can be raised with an orange or red flag on it when the vehicle is hit helps a lot to help let people know the vehicle is down.

I like that idea....

If we do continue to use it we'd apreciate it if you guys could chip in a couple of $'s for gas, that thing is a Diesel 350 and it eats gas like a mother.... 20$ for gas would make Justin a little more willing to bring it out.

I apologize about the driver, there is nothing to justify it other than the fact that Justin was really pissed (someone also shot up one of his rear view mirrors but were not ever sure who it was...)

I say we just put this all of this behind us, if the continues to be an issue we will address it at a later time.

PostSubject: Re: Regarding the Truck...   Regarding the Truck... EmptyMon Jan 25, 2010 5:24 pm

I really like the two grenade hits idea (stopping then killing). "Grenades" are just too plentiful so having to hit it twice sounds really good.

To clarify:

Grenade lands in bed of truck: Stops truck, kills those in bed

Grenade lands in cab: Stops truck, kills those in cab

2nd Grenade lands anywhere: Entirely kills truck and all players in either part

Sound right?

"someone also shot up one of his rear view mirrors"

That's really shitty! Hopefully it was an accident. Maybe get something to protect it for next time (if there is a next time)? Plexiglass or such?

Hopefully the truck has the windows up but yeah. Twisted Evil I have found people use ducttape over mirrors and headlights and that does the trick but with a truck that big you kinda need those mirrors. We normally had a ref sitting in the back of our vehicle and he would back us up. Having an admin with the vehicle beside it or in the back may not be a bad idea if you can get a volunteer to do it.

Yeah, that's why I suggested plexi so they could still use them.

Shar asked if maybe I busted it with my bolt action. I never took a shot from behind and didn't shoot at the truck when it was moving (feared denting it even though I was probably just being overly cautious). Anyhow, there was never a shot I took that would have been from the right angle to hit the side mirror.

Which mirror was it anyhow? I only ever shot from the drive side :-)

Heres my 2 cents.. Thanks WIRC for coming out and the "donation" of your vehicle in our game. Most of us here (including me) probable wouldnt even think about driving our own vehicles thru a storm of bb's, plastic or otherwise. Also Thanks for understanding about the "red beret" issue and your quickness to comply with the change. As always I look forward to everyone coming out and playing (even the "cheaters"). See you all soon.

It was on the passenger side, we have a vibe it was one of our own though, since the mirrors were angled in.

Oops! :-P Talk about bad luck.

Would make sense though. I've shot at glass that thick before. Had to get pretty close to even crack it with an AEG shooting around 370. More then 10 feet and it usually just bounced off. :-/ (I really wanted some cool glass breaking!)

As soon as I get the front axle to engage properly, Ill use it for transport/ infil/exfil ops. if needed.
I dont know how well it will fit through the trees and it certainly wont be a stealty infil (diesel without a muffler) bet we can give it a shot.
No sence in only one truck taking all the brunt.
Also, whats up guys? Havent been around in a while. Had tons of chit going on but I should be at the upcoming games.
