I needed a place to vent! ***Warning: hostility towards Ebay ahead...***
Beware being a Seller on Ebay! You are now responsible for shipping insurance on packages you send out and if they are broken you must issue a refund to the buyer. For years it's been optional for the buyer to purchase the insurance if needed on a product and when I made my sale post, this option was in the layout and as always I left it in for the buyer to decide.
The package was shipped on the 3rd, delivered on the 7th, and I didn't hear a word until the 14th! I always offer a 7 day window to contact me and get the product back for a full refund. Ebay says that if a product is broken, it's not as described and the buyer has 45 days to ship it back for a refund. The buyer and myself sent several emails back and forth but nothing was working so after he hinted at opening a case with Ebay I told him to go for it. I stated my side of the story and they closed the case in the buyers favor and said that he would be sending it back and I was to do a full refund.
I just found out that when they closed the case they refunded my paypal account automatically without telling me!? I don't even have the product back in my hands yet! They even refunded the original shipping fee...so not only is my $150.00 sculpt broken and worthless, I also lose $15.00 for shipping?! OMG!
I had Ebay on the phone and they couldn't even tell me when the insurance option policy changed...setting up something for sale now, I don't see the optional insurance like I did when I set it up the first time. I told them that's just great...if you don't want the product after all and you need the money for some unforeseen situation, you can just break it and force a refund. F#&*ING FANTASTIC!
Now I have to wait 48 hours for them to contact me...God give the person I talk to strength!! The retard in india on the phone tonight could barely work the phone! I feel like twisting my nuts off!!!!!
