| Ok guys need some quick info like in the next hour cause I need to order them now. I have only used Gen 4 PS15s when I worked for the government (I miss these a lot and was sad when I gave them back) so im a newb when it comes to Gen 1 stuff. These are the three models I am looking at I am inclined to go with the ATNs cause I know how they perform but basically what I need to know if any of you have had any yukon gen 1s and how they worked. ATN Night storm I like this model but dont like the fact that it is 3.5x Depth perception is bad enough with good NVGs ATN Viper w/headgear Yukon NVMT w/headgear | |

| SixFootCow has a set of Yukon Gen1 that looks similar to the one in the lower pic but his is weapon mounted. I think he likes them, as he recomended them to me at one point and sent me a link to them on Optics Planet. | |

| Email this sale-8sm8k-1633018543@craigslist.orgPVS14 NightVisionMonocular with MX-11769/UVthin filmed autogated tube - $2675 (Sacramento) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: 2010-03-07, 12:33PM PST Reply to: sale-8sm8k-1633018543@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi! this is a PVS-14 Gen 3 scope that I bought about a year ago. It has a thin filmed ITT MX-11769/UV tube that is auto gated with 64 to 72 LP/mm, a unit like this usually sells for around $5,500-$6,000 dollars. It has the single aa battery, IR infrared light and Day light cover. It also comes with, a PVS-14 Rhino Helmut mount, and several other head mounts for use without a helmet, a PVS NVG J-Arm Mounting Bracket Rail System mount, PVS-14 7B NVG OPTIC 3X MAGNIFIER and a video adapter. This is a full and complete package worth well over $6,500 dollars new for someone who wants one of the best night vision monoculars available The tube is very clean and the images are very sharp. I have put maybe 10 hrs on the tube since I've had it and the tubes are good to 10,000 hours. This is a great scope one of the best and I hate to let it go, but I need some things that are more important at this time. I will ship insured with signature confirmation. I CAN'T AND WILL NOT SHIP OUT OF THE UNITED STATES SO DONT ASK. I will have pictures up shortly, if you have any question let me know and I will get back to you asap. Thanks | |

| Actually I hate PVS-14s no offense to those that have them they work great I just dont like them and I dont know why LOL. I actually didnt go with any of the ones above I went with the Yukon Digital Night Vision Ranger supposedly the best ones under 500 bucks have them on next day shipping so they should be here in time. I dont know if digital works good but its different and its comparable to gen 2 | |

| I do have the yukon like the last one pictured. It was around $400 with a weaver mount base and pressure switched laser built into it. The only thing I don't like is the 3x magnification I think because of the distortion. I need to get online and see if I can get a 1x eye piece. The operation is easy, the amplification range is around 50' maybe more.
If you do get this unit be sure to find a way to string the front cap to the unit. I almost lost mine at Wastelands.

| Oh yeah...the reason I went with the one I did is because you can remove it from the rail unit and put it on anything else. | |

| Well I will try this route first and if I dont like it I will find some gen 3 ps15s, Gen 4s are way too much and going from third gen pvs-14s to gen 4 was like night and day seriously they were better than the flir Binoculars we had and we could easily look down are gun through the eotech. There is also absolutely no static at all that you get with gen 3 especially under magnification and the only time I actually had to use the IR illuminator was when we were clearing rooms in baghdad. Also muzzle flashes didnt blind you or bright lights didnt stick out with that weird halo effect. But I really dont feel like pulling out a loan to get what I am used too also I dont even know if gen 4s are available to the public yet back when we bought they were 20k a goggle. | |

| Looks like I will be waiting for a monday delivery cause the company didnt ship it out till later today because amazon took their sweet time passing it over this is only the second thing I bought from amazon and the second time being screwed by them. First time I got screwed I was ordering a book for my OSX Help Desk Certification and didnt get the book till a week before the test, I will never order from them again I really do despise them.
But I will do a review and throw it up on my youtube channel once I get it the nice thing is it does have a video out out so I can hook it up to my Archos so should get a decent video out of it.
