| I want to know what you all think about this, your inputs, your insight. Correct me if i forget stuff. this is a basic list as of now.
I would really like to have a section titled GUNS or GUN TESTING. period.
Inside there would be subsections. SNIPER CQB/FIELD WEAPONS (M4s, AKs, shotguns) HEAVY GUNNER (SAWs, M60s, gatlin guns, Ma Duece, whatever) SIDEARM OTHER for grenades tests, launchers, claymores, etc.
Maybe an equipment section for radios, tracers, or random stuff I cant think of right now.
i am buying a chrono and a gun table to mount the guns on soon.
I want a comprehensive testing regiment. Depending on the gun, sniper rifle for instance, I will shoot it with .20gs all the way up to .40s for FPS and effective range. Up to 150ft. Ill only shoot 5-10 BBs per weight or Ill be there all day. log the groupings on a 12x12 target at the varying ranges.
Testing ROF as well.
Average prices.
I will weigh it, measure it and list all the things that come with it upon purchase. Is it Metal? Blowback? Battery size (measured and with what connector it comes with) Battery Voltage and MaH capacity and a charger? Magazines it came with and how many... A f'king instruction manual?! etc.
For the people looking to possibly upgrade a gun they see on here... i will list if known: Barrel length Version of gearbox Stock spring Metal gears? Metal bushings? collapsable body? Rail type... etc.

| The purpose of this is to provide a guide to potential buyers. The end all answers that many retailers neglect to elaborate on.
I will have all these facts and throw in the owners thoughts.
If I can i will video the testing and post it on youtube.
The video would start with a very quick visual of the gun with a scrolling list of goodies. Within 30 seconds would be the actual 1st person views of the gun firing and results. At the end would be the breakdowns and opinions.
90% of the videos of "reviews" are crap, and they show a cross section of the shooter firing, and then show grouping after a cut away. (retailers) or no shooting at all. Or you have to sit through 7 minutes of talking by some 14 yr old kid would got it for christmas and they shoot cans.
In a week i am ordering the chrono, and will test the SAW, My M16 SPR MOD 0 DMR, and even my rental guns (M4s and an AK47)
If I finish working on it Ill review my LAW!

| BTW I have to make my posts in sections because my laptop likes to eat all my posts... Heres the basic form I made last night on MS paint. It looks convoluted but it just checking boxes and filling in some numbers on grids. | |

| The bottom of the sheet is for upgraders and for after initial testing updates with new parts.
If it did 430FPS with .20g on a stock setup and you did 470FPS with X amount of parts I want to know what is done to it. It shows people the possibilities of the new setup.

| I'm on it as soon as I get the equipment. I'm still not sure when I will do it logistically, as in at the field...or like a testing place that people would have to bring their guns to. I doubt people are going to to loan me their guns for a day... if they are willing to I'll do it that way.
We'll see. | |

| Nice work I love the idea thats why I through my review of my new one up there. Hopefully we get a big enough repository to get the attention from distributors and get some test guns to review. | |

| One problem is that parts in one gun sometimes perform different in others. I know it sounds weird but there are variances perhaps in the box body? I've heard of some spring diameters not compressing as smooth in some boxes as others when these are supposed to be the same? Perhaps the better the cast quality and or materials, the more consistent the end results to others.
I'd imagine that as the internals break in on each other they kinda create a combined signature. I understand that the metal gears get "work-hardened" and over time you will get less gearbox whine/chatter.

| Well, we can still report what it does and people will have to use judgement on expected gains.
Put a 5% threshold on things.

| Those of you that modify guns... I would like to get with some of you so i can take pictures of specific gearboxes, pistons, motors, hopups, switches, barrels etc.
I want a database also with a picture and short description of parts.
Mainly a list of gearboxes. Note the versions so people can see it.
Also in each gun review where its been modified, I would like to list the person who did it,
Recognition! | |

| Yeah I just ordered two more guns so I will follow this format with the next two I might wait to post till the sections are up cause I dont really want to start flooding the general section with reviews of my guns especially since none of you actually know me yet. | |
