Permanent Op-For based Firezone team?

I know how Shar is running an official Firezone team with Multi-cam, well I thought why not have a OpFor team for them to play against at the Firezone games? This way we could have a consisten group of guys to fight against.

What do you guys think?

Acutally BT I think it's a fantastic idea. We need as much practice as possible because just as Auto (David) said we really are just a bunch of loonies running around with rifles! These type of pickup games would really help us both out.

Yeah not only that, but also..... There aren't many Hard Core Op-For team's around here in Florida, so I thought, why not have one?

It would be nice to go to an event with an organized Op-For team, usually we end up kicking Blue-Forces ass without it, but W.I.R.C has been doing a bunch of Alliances with Smaller teams to make a sorta Alliance and we were going to role as a Company at a big event, but I think if we could make an efficent squad of ten guys that are Op-for, we'd be good to go.

I'd be willing to organize this if anyone else was intrested.

Shar likes the idea, now all we need is people intrested.

Geist was jut here I talked to him he is open to the idea badtrooper but u guys have all to be doing what he says he is top commander for opfor and u MUST follow him on every game.

Warum?

Okay, here's how I think it should be run, open to suggestions and it isn't set in stone, but here is what Jacob says....

1)A Squad of 10 guys would be best, six with assualting gear and four with recon,stealth gear.

2)Some form of Woodland variant camo so that we are usually on the Op-For, a standard woodland BDU would suffice.

3) Most guns if possible to be non M-16/ M-14 or Saw weaponry, try to keep it as Op-For as possible. Thins likes G-36's and Ak's would be best. ( This would be prefered, not a requirement)

4) Buddy system, everyone will ALWAYS have a buddy with them. this is so that if they managed to get serperated they can cover and support each other. If your buddy were to go down and hit and need to be Medic'ed or Evacuated, it would be YOUR job to get him there.

5)I'd also think it would be wise if we had a support gunner and a sniper, although it's not a requirement.

6) The purpose of this team is to be efficent, we don't care how pretty you look in your gear, we only care that you follow orders and you can keep up.

The point of this team/group is not only to help train with the Firezone, but to be a competing team in Florida. At this moment, there are not many major Op-For based Airsoft teams. I'd like to change that.

I've always noticed that the OP-For is always the more efficient and usually crafty side during Airsoft games. While Woodland and Tiger Stripe may not look as pretty as Multi-Cam, I do believe it conceals you better in Florida terrain and thus you should use it.

Just FYI these are just people intrested, I think it would be a good idea to build a team around peoples strengths and weakness's instead of everyone who just volunteered, although I'm pretty sure it will work out for everyone.
