If I could make a design recommendation, you should have it slide over your hand like some kind of crazy gun gauntlet. I don't know if that would be too heavy to carry on your arm though. Maybe place the trigger inside some kind of guard to protect your hand while you're shooting it.

Hell, just build a giant robotic suit of armor.

That and talking about random stuff that had gone on in our week, girls, work, guns, gear, random TV shows we had seen and then were watching these little birds jump around.
