I have a brand new 14.8v Lipo im not using you just need a balance charger but it has deans and would probably explode most gearboxes even though its not much bigger than a 9.6v nimh

You could always do what Alafya playa did and wire your gun to two 12V batteries, of course you'd have to be a CYMA owner to be able to attempt that

If my M249 wasn't plastic inside, I'd try it out in that Wink

Hey Fireman, you think my P90 could withstand the 14.8v battery?? If so I might try it.

I have a 8.4v 1100ma NiMH battery. It's simple and elegant. Small connector.

Airsoft Atlanta has a 8.4 with 1400ma for 16. I can do mine for $8.

Also, now that I think about it, I have another one of those batteries too. I could do the two for $16.

How much money do you have to pay for future repairs and replacement parts? If you've got some, go for it! I could use the money. :-D

I was kidding. Well... I'm mostly sure I was kidding. As far as money goes I've got two words for you... college student. But I still have the money to have you put a new mosfet in my p90. I just need you to let me know when I can drop it off or the next game you're going to be at. That reminds me are you going to the games either at Wayne's World on Saturday or Firezone on Sunday. If so I can give it to you then.

I might have to try it since my 9.6v wont pull my new spring. I just installed an "M120" along with a full tune -up and MOSFET.
My motor wont even pull the spring back. Its supposed to be an M120 but based on the force it takes to compress it into the box, Im thinking its way hotter than that.
Im recharging my 9.6 on the off chance its dead so I can retry it.

I have a PDI 170 in my P90 and the 9.6 pulls it and it hits hard. Is your spring the spawn of Satan or something?

I dont know. I had an M130 in it before and it wasnt near as stiff as this thing. The only diff. in my set up is the spring, piston & head, BB spring guid and bushings.
I spent an hour dialing the shimming and after the first attemt I thought something had locked up so I tore it down again and rechecked it.
Tried the secont time and samething, half rotation than nothing. The motor is trying to pull it but cant.
Im recharging right now becaus I cant remember if I charged it after the last couple games.
It was running 14-15RPS at 405-410FPS before the tear down.

Auto - If you've gone to bearing spring guide and piston head, the spring may have too many coils and could be getting stuck. You may want to try a different brand of 120 spring or go back to either the standard spring guide or piston head.

Opheria - I'll be at the game this Sunday the 18th. Will you be there or are you still going to OCP? The next Sunday at the paintball place is still up in the air. Won't know until we get closer to it.

I should be able to drop it off to you at the game on Sunday. I'll probably head out to OCP after that though since I'm trying to set up a big pickup game there for the 2nd of may.

Im going to open it up when I get home and stick an old M110 in it to see if that works.
I know the BB guide and piston head are precompressing the spring and increasing the tension but its kind of rediculous how stiff this spring is.
My original M120 (in Tedders SAW now) had a BB piston head with the standard guide and it would run 16rps. My M130 was running 13rps in the same configuration.
I swapped to 7mm bb bushings and bb spring guide and stepped back down to M120 anticipating the precompression from the bb guide.
My motor will omly cycle the piston back about a 1/4" before it quits. I think the spring is heavier then M120 and was in the wrong package.
With all the bb goodies and MOSFET, my old tired M110 shold rip some rps for the game this weekend.
