| Sniper Ty has saved up and is looking for a secondary. Currently, here are the thoughts.
1. A normal secondary Some kind of pistol that fits in a nice holster. Nothing too complicated. Should be able to get a decent gun with enough money left over for a holster, extra mags, propane converter, and other necessary things. Maybe even go CO2.
2. An AEG that is a secondary MP7 is the first one that comes to mind. There aren't too many variants of it out there though and it is a little steeply priced. MP5 is also on the short list along with a stubby M4.
The question is which way to go? Route two means he has an AEG that can pump out bb's, but it might be a little bit bigger then he is looking for. Also, those small AEG's can get pretty expensive. He would be able to use it for CQB though and would kill two birds with one expensive stone.
Getting a normal pistol as a secondary is cost effective and allows him to get a good pistol and full load it with all the necessary accessories. However, it pretty much locks him in as being a sniper. This isn't a problem until you start playing night games or try to go indoors for games.
Price range for the entire load out needs to be around $160-$200. I'm sure he'll throw in some more requirements once I throw this up. I just wanted to get it up here and have people start commenting on it ASAP.

| I'd say get a P90. I'm thinking about trying to use it as my secondary when sniping. I'll let you guys know how it goes. | |

| I would use an aeg that way you are not locked in as a sniper . What if your gun breaks? With an aeg you have a backup you can use in any game. I saw Opheria' s p90 and that is a nice compact gun that or mp5 or small m4 would be great. The mp7 aeg shoots slow and dosen't have a lot of upgrades avail. You don't want to play a game with a gun that shoots 280fps. that is what the mp7 shoots. Bob. | |

| Auto, that's what I've been pushing him to get. One of those with either a leg holster or a sling he can throw over his shoulder. The only issue is he wants to run 9.6v to get a little faster ROF. | |

| You can also do some trimming to the charging handle on a mp5k and make it take a 9.6 | |

| if you want something compact, i would highly recommend this http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=31399i used it this weekend at the DV8 game and got 25 kills. its a great gun, comes with a second outer barrel, and two mid caps. the the stock is folded its just as small as the mp5k but it uses standard m4/m16 mags which is why i love it. plus its got a working bolt catch so you can adjust the hop up easily, and the entire thing is metal, the front RIS and upper receiver is all once piece metal (which is awesome) it comes with a foregrip and a easy detach sling mount you can put on the front, the back of the receiver, or the stock. its got amby selector switches and mag release, and it comes with a 9.6 battery! i love the gun, it seriously kicks ass. | |

| That is a nice gun Lero. Its sill too big to be a side arm. The MP5K PDW is like 10-12" long from head to toe. This is the Echo1 version: When the flash hider is removed and the stock has been replaaced with the flat cap it is less than a foot long and is a standard MP5 gun in all aspects of operation. The charging handel can be modified to fit a 9.6v NiMH but I wouldnt go through the trouble when a 7.4v LiPO will fit with no mods and have a higher ROF. | |

| I'd go with the Mp5k as well but get the Galaxy or TSD for less then $100.00 I've got a team mate with the Galaxy (one of the original ones too). It shot in the 350's and had that "magic hop" that many TM's have. He'd get more kills with it than me with my bb hose at some games just because of how easy it was for him to move in close and reach out when he had to. I'd not get that full metal one by Echo 1 because really, full metal on a leg holster or anywhere else is going to be heavy and make moving awkward. As for the P90, if you don't mind using a water bladder case to hold a gun I've seen many people store a P90 on their back in one. If you like having water on the field, it would not be for you... Take into account that the P90 mags are also not cheap where as the Mp5k mids go $50 or so for a box of 8. The Mp7 is an AEP = weak. Don't waste your money if you want something that will work in one of those "oh shit" moments that I assume you are buying this for. A pistol would be nice but you need to get one that is not only highly reilable but very accurate. Going up against someone who broke the 100 foot sniper minimum engagement range with a pistol is a ballsy move. Especially if they have a full auto AEG. I have a really nice pistol and I may have used it only a hand full of times. Most of these being at "pistol/shotgun" games or in CQB where I could turn a corner and get the draw on someone with a larger AEG in hand. As it is now, I'm working on upgrading a TM Mp5k to use with my VSR-10. I have in my possession an Echo 1 P90 and a full size Mp5. I've been going back and forth with this for a while. If my final choice doesn't sway you a bit then nothing will. :-) EDIT: Nearly forgot, you could also go with a TRUE Patriot M4 if you had the money to spend. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2265 | |

| Here is what we've figured out so far.
1. He really liked my new KJW MK1 pistol. He was getting kills just using that after he put down his sniper. We were running .25 through it and it was nice and accurate. He is thinking about getting one of those as a pistol sometime soon. I can't wait to get the MK1 Sniper from Holden.
2. The AEG is an ultimate goal. His brother and family friend both had Galaxy MP5K's. They're scrappy little guns. I think that'd be a good move too, but no one has the damn thing in stock anymore.
My thinking is to get the pistol because he likes it, the Galaxy MP5K for CQB/Secondary for when the mood suits him, and maybe a drop leg holster for both. Grand total on all that would land somewhere around the $160-$200 mark. I have seen those MP5K's crack, but if he takes care of it it should be fine. While all metal is ideal, it's such a pain in the ass to carry one of those around.
As for a P90, I don't think it would make a good secondary. Other then the fact he isn't a big fan of the feel, he doesn't need that long of a barrel. He needs out to 100 ft and that's it. Beyond that, he can use his L96. The P90 makes a good primary, but the mags and the gun itself are too clunky as a secondary.
