I don't believe you will be told not to bring a sniper but if it's shoot hot (400 fps) there is a 70-100ft minimum engagement distance rule.

I've used a ghillie and a sniper at night games (have been a primary sniper for the past 6 years) and it's very hard to even see people at 100 ft. In addition you can't track your shots and adjust them so you can actually hit your target. It is possible, especially if the group is all using flashlights. The problem is you are much more likely to engage tarts below your minimum engagement distance and this causes bloody welts, broken teeth, and is much more of a liability.

So either your gun is not shooting hot (<400fps) and you are the same as everyone else. Or you are shooting hot (>500 fps) but will abide by the minimum engagement rule at all costs and understand that it will be very difficult to hit targets (but still field legal). Or you might rethink your night equipment load-out.

What if your AEG shoots 650 and you have night blindness syndrome....

Slayer is right, I've got a bolt action I'd love to use but know how dangerous it would be at night. It's just too hard to tell distances of sounds you'll hear. Unless you've got some wicked NVG's or some sort of laser range finder I'd leave it at home.

No worse than a 10 foot hit from some gas sidearm.....

Ripperblue's rifle ony shoots around 400fps so he is good to go like everyone else. And it is the only one he has . Bob

Everyone has mentioned the gun they plan to bring. I'll most likely bring the M15 and Matthew I assume his LR300.

Yeah, if Ripperblue's bolt action only shoots 400 then no problem. Mine is kissing 400 with .40's (right about 550 with .20's) so it's a but much for a night game. :-P

According to my chrono at 40 feet, mine is still pushing 330 FPS. Take into account that's with those .40's. :-)

That would be like getting shot point blank with at least 430+... Not something I'd like to do to anyone... :-/ It's why bolt actions have the 100 foot rule so they can slow down enough between you and your target. I'd feel horrible hitting someone on accident from much closer...

Anyone that wants to be Tunisian army I will take you. Bring all extra lights that you have. We need to light the field up like daylight. We will play fair we will play hard and hopefully we will win. As soon as Tedder gets back to me I will post anything else we need for base defense.
