- Greatly reduces electrical resistance - Increases rate of fire (see tests results below) - Saves your trigger contacts from burn out caused by higher voltage (ie: li-po) batteries - Active Breaking stops piston in full disengaged placement on semi-auto - Crisp trigger response
BRAND NEW BUILD!!! (as of 12/20/09)
I’ve re-vamped my MOSFET with Active Braking build AGAIN! They now come with 12” of 16GA stranded copper power wire from both sides of the AB mosfet (before, each side had 6” leads). My MOSFET with Active Braking also now comes with 16” of 22GA gate wire rather than 12” as before.
(12/20/09) Now my MOSFET with Active Braking ALSO has DOUBLE GATE WIRES. What this means is that INSTALLATION IS EASIER!
Two 16GA wires (1red, 1black) coming out on alone on one side of the MOSFET go to the battery, two 16GA wires (1red, 1black) coming out from the side with the pair of 22GA wires go to the motor, two 22GA wires (color variable) go to the two trigger contacts (one wire per contact) which when connected (trigger pull) make the gun fire.
COMPLETELY REPLACES FACTORY WIRE WITH HIGH QUALITY 16GA WIRE!
EASY TO RUN 22GA WIRE IS ALL THAT GOES THROUGH THE TIGHT SPOTS IN THE GEARBOX! NO LONGER DO YOU HAVE TO JAM IN EXTRA WIRE!
To finish off installation, either buy new or re-use old motor connectors and re-attach battery connector of choice to end of MOSFET.
I also use multiple coats of liquid electrical coating on each MOSFET with active braking. For extra measure I wrap it all in heat shrink tube. The results are more water resistance (not water proof) and better resistance to shorting out from metal on metal impact over time. Prior MOSFET’s with active braking ONLY had the rubber coating and in some applications this could get pulled off leaving bare metal exposed and possible shorting.
My MOSFET with Active Braking use chips rated much higher then voltages we’d ever use unlike other companies who use chips at or just over standard AEG voltage.
My MOSFET with Active Braking has been PROVEN TO HANDLE VOLTAGE AS HIGH AS 12 VOLTS without generating much of any heat. (Heat = stress)
My MOSFET with Active Braking is about as thick as 7-8 pennies and about 3/4-1” long plus the wire which can be cut to the desired length. I provide plenty so you have a lot of flexibility with installation.
MOSFET with Active Braking Price: $27.00 shipped, $25.00 in person
If you need it installed, I charge $20.00
If I’m in your gearbox and you want me to do other things like change the spring, drop in a new piston, spring guide, etc. I will do so at no extra charge. If you want me to put in new bushings, re-shim your gears or put in new gears I charge $10.00 extra to do such work.
If adding new parts turns into more work (ie: new part is not completely compatible and rework must be done) then I will charge based on how long it takes me to trouble shoot or do custom work ($10-20 is usually the most that would be.)
Please don’t hesitate to email me (email in profile) if you want one or have questions!
I’ve sold quite a few of these and gotten back some great reviews. I plan to continue to make and sell these as long as interest continues.

"The end result was very pleasing to me. I saw clearly that when I used semi-auto, the piston stopped immediately forward after shooting. In addition, the trigger responsiveness increased to the point that it almost felt like a Systema PTW response. After a couple dozen tries, I finally managed to stop the piston before a full cycle (just barely, and on an 8.4 NIMH with 3000 mAH). Full auto is also much faster as a perk."

"I got the Mosfet last night for my stock D-Boys M4 CQB-SD. I installed it with the directions Chris gave me and it works GREAT! It improved my "rate of fire" from 14-21 and the motor runs smoother and quieter. The install is easy if you are comfortable opening the gear-box and know how to use a soldering iron. Thanks Chris!" - Crazywolf
Thanks everyone!

I'd like to pick this up at Red Dawn from you, assuming it will go in my gun. Would you mind taking a look at it, I have a CYMA-47D If I buy it from you now I may ask you to install it later...

I'll do my best to get one ready for you and bring it to the game. That's fine about the install later thing.

Hey dude apparentlly I got my dates mixed up for payday and it's next thursday.... So I would only have like ten bucks to give to you since the other half of the 20 dollars to my name are going to this game. If you already have it build you can wait to give it to me next game, or I can give you the ten bucks and you can rummage through my stuff and see if you want any of it. I think you'd prefer to wait till the next game though. I should have the money for you to install it in anyways...

You still selling these fets fireman cause I just threw a 11.1V lipo in my JG today and could use one badly.

Yeah I will keep making them so long as the demand remains. I'm about to put in another order for parts if you want to claim one of them.

Oh most certainly let me know when you have it done and I will hand you cash whenever the next game is. I miss my Fetted (Lol yeah I made that up) gun in my storage unit never can get used to that slight AEG lag even with lipo. ROF I could care less about but trigger response and heat build up is my big thing as well as the cylinder wear. You will be surprised how much extra wear you get from just that little extra movement.

Yeah, I just did a gun without one and felt a little sick watching the piston stop all over the place. The AB Mosfet just makes the gun so much more reliable and the response so much faster.

Okay Fireman, ready for another one. I think I got that issue straightened out.
Finally got my prom triple gears in and putting it all back together. Let me know when it's good to send payment through paypal again.
Thanks!

Money sent with address in the note box. Thanks again Chris! Is there a voltage limit for these by the way?

I had a guy use a 14.4 lipo without issue. :-)

Just in case anyone else has this problem in the future lets talk about it.
You remember the last one I had fried because of my installation and there being too many metal parts close together in that area. That's all cleaned up now and I rubberized the solder spot...
That being said I now have to (preferably) hook this unit up which has changed to my previously setup harness...see pics below.
The older mosfet just had the 1 wire...is it possible to hook both or just one of the smaller gauge wires to the 1 smaller gauge wire with no issues?

I had a guy use one of these with a 14.4 volt Lipo battery. So far as I know, it's still running strong and it's been a few months. The first weekend he put it in he ran 5000 shots through it just to torture test it and it didn't flinch!

Well the wiring is figured out thanks to Fireman. Once again with a question asked he was quick to respond and the answer was decisive and correct.

Hey fireman,
If you have any available or are making plans to order parts, I've got need for one myself. Rebuilding my m16 this week and could use one.

HA HA HA
I saw this used as an "invitation" to a party my step brother had where Hitler was complaining about how he was not invited. All the guys he kicked out had gotten invitations. He was talking about all the fun he was going to miss and how he was going to be stuck hanging out with his three loser friends instead. It was one of the funniest videos I'd seen in a while.
Shar, this video was funnier by far!

Does it come with Deans or those were just easier to draw in?

Ah. Just read the point on the last picture. Stock deans would be very cool though. I'm interested in at least one of these. I'd get the second, but I'd need the gun first. It's still in the works.
