| I don't know if anybody does this already, but I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone was interested in joining me on it. So the Hanoi game was pretty wet and cleaning your gun isn't always the easiest thing. My idea is to invest in a desiccant. If no one knows what that is, a desiccant is something that helps draw away moisture from the surrounding area. If you've ever taken a stuffed animal or computer part out of a box, there is a small packet in there with the purpose of lowering the humidity and protecting whatever is inside. Salt and rice are basic desiccants, but they eventually have to be thrown out. I've located a regenerable desiccant that you can reuse by just putting it in a 220 F oven for some time. To make it even better, these come with a color indicator. Once it goes from blue to pink, you know it is time to dry it out. A few of these in some kind of large container after you have dried your gun will take away any extra moisture that might be there. Even storing your guns in there for extend periods of time might not be a bad idea. At the very least, you could stick your gearbox in there for a few days and dry it out. I'm thinking about buying some of these, but I wouldn't mind buying it with a few people. They aren't that expensive and just one of these 3"x3" bags will keep a 2 gal container dry. We'll get 40 of these for $32.80 before shipping. Five or so would do the job thoroughly. http://www.professionalequipment.com/desiccant-regenerable-bags-humidity-sponge-control-company-3151/remediation-equipment/Anyone interested? | |

| Just to add to his brilliance....
I use the little packets in my BB containers to keep them dry as well.. I use primarily Bios and most of you know that moisture is one of the elements that breaks them down.. I use one packet per 3000 BB's.. So far so good.. I usually hit up Payless and get a few off the floor. | |
