| And you cock it like a bolt action? It's got an AEG piston and you cock it like a bolt action...?
That's just strange... No wait... asinine.

| So it's like a glorified springer? I guess I can see that working. If you could pull the piston back on an AEG and have the gear go with it and lock in place and then release with the trigger it would put out the same FPS as if the gears turned and pulled the piston back normally.
Such a strange idea. I wonder why they went that route.

| Just watched a review. I'm interested to see it once Geist gets one. It seems to have potential so long as that cocking handle doesn't snap off under a heavy spring or just over time. The guy said the piston and such is metal which sounds good but no one really gave it more than a 100ish foot range at the nearly 400 FPS it comes shooting. I wonder if the hop up is just not all that great and if so, if it can be upgraded too.
Still the wonder about the bolt action is that it can reach out and touch someone over 200 feet when built right. Just ask Tedder... :-)

| I'm actually foresaking my Russian-ness and picking up an UTG APS2 because I'm getting a good deal on it and it's easier to upgrade.
I know a guy who has one, he bought a pre upgraded one of some website and he is in love with it. Never seen it in action though so I can't a-test to it.

| From what I understand. The piston head and spring are standard AEG stuff. The piston may be specific to the SVD. I have also heard that the trigger and a few other internals are APS 2/MK96 stuff. I guess I'll have disassemble Geists' befor I deliver it to him | |

| Saw this on eHobby. Badtrooper, be careful clicking on that link. I don't want you to pass out in front of your computer and crack your head open. Someone had one of these out at PBW on Friday and proceeded to break it within an hour or so. Looks really good and is making me consider doing an AK DMR down the road. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/real-sword-rs-svd-aeg-without-scope.html | |
