Good Morning,
Again
thank all of you for your interest in Combat City at the Orlando
Airsoft Park. There has been continued work on the field including
bunkers and obstacles. The shoothouse is nearly finished. We have
allowed one team to look at the field and they are very excited about
it. The comments have been totally positive. Players have been
inquiring from as far away as Texas.
A
game is scheduled for June 12 as an introduction to the field. The
exact time will be sent out in a few days as the details are being
finalized. The pro shop will not be finished at this time due to the
usual construction delays that occur with every project. If you are planning to attend the June 12th game please try to rsvp so we can have an idea of the first turnout.
Opening
will still be in June and facilities will continue to be finished after
that. We will continue to work on the field for months to come always
improving and adding more features.
On
a daily basis, the games will start every hour. This will allow
arrivals to suit up and get their gear ready while teams are put
together and missions explained. The target range will be available
while you wait for a game to start. The range will be included in the
admission price and targets available for purchase. We are adding an
area for BB Gun target shooting / plinking. Many of you have BBGuns
and no place to shoot them. Now you will have a place. Obviously
these will not be used in the game fields.
There
are going to be specific days for 18 and older games. There has been a
request for this and it is actually demanded by some teams / forums.
In an effort to work with such groups such as FA (Florida Airsoft) one day a month will be reserved for 18 and up.
The
final list of rental weapons and specialty weapons will be posted to
the temporary website that you have all visited later this week. Cost
of rental will be added as well. The waiver page is online and
available to print and have ready.
Many of you have expressed concern about paintball at the facility. This field is dedicated to AIRSOFT ONLY.
