| What is the big deal about some of these teams not wanting to play these games with people under the age of 18? Are their egos so big that they can't handle being shot by a kid? Wtf? Everyone deserves to enjoy themselves at ALL of these games. If the kids have waivers from their parents or guardians what's wrong with shooting them as well? My ammo has no age preference to whom it hits. It simply wants to hit everyone. Besides, I think it's important to show a little guidence and, if necessary, dicipline to the yonger generation. With a little bit of both of these things these kids can learn a little more about the game and how it's played. Who knows? Someday they could make good teammates or compitition. Furthermore, I've seen some of these younger guys playing better than some of the adults out there. They may not know much about tactics and organization, but they play fair, call their shots and don't get all pissy about being shot like I've seen some of these grown men do. Guys, it's a game. Lighten up a little. We're in this thing for fun and enjoyment. If you don't like playing with the minors, shoot them first and get them out of the way. They make good targets - doesn't everyone - and they do good at drawing fire away from me so my team and I can have a better chance at accomplishing the objective(s). But don't exclude them. They have just as much right to enjoy themselves as you do. How would you feel if everyone excluded you from playing any reindeer games? Think about it. Personally, I don't care whose playing. Young, old. Male, female. I'm just there to have a good time. And, to shoot as many people as I can, of course. | |

| To chime in on "what I've seen" I have to say that I feel like those under the 15-16 line tend to have less forward thinking and more of an egocentric nature about them.
For example, eye protection. I've seen more under 14's get shot out, begin walking away and while still very much in play raise their glasses or goggles because they THINK that they are suddenly safe or out of play and that everyone else who sees them will recognize this and not shoot at them.
With that one regard, I have seen much more of this on the part of younger players then by adults.
With regards to attitude and anger, I've seen it more in adults. Yelling to call hits, angry at being bang killed, angry at being ambushed, etc. Yes, they tend to be more aware of personal safety but the attitudes tend to be worse.
So I guess to remedy this, kick out the guys who fail to follow personal safety rules for the day and tell the older guys to chill out. | |
