| SPR or DirtyDozen is my vote if you are going to base a game on a movie. The Longest Day would be cool but a pain to pull off. | |

| Oh man. Great Escape would be pretty awesome, but do we have a tunnel and/or 30-40 guys willing to not use weapons for the entire scenario? And a motorcycle? And a Steve McQueen lookalike?
Or you could do a general 'prison camp breakout' type of set-up where you had a defined perimeter, with half or less of the force devoted to guarding the rest. Maybe have a group of outsiders at a base outside of the camp as local insurrectionists/guerrilla fighters, and as prisoners escaped, they joined the guerrillas, etc. | |

| i say we do GI Joe as a theme. the bluefor (GI Joe) would have to move a package from point a to the tower while under attack. then the opfor (Cobra) would have to try and get the package from the tower back to their base. | |

| I don't see a POW game being very interesting. Also you don't have to base your game on a movie. It doesn't even have to be based on a historical battle but can be in the same area. For example on of our more successful games was Operation Broadsword. It was based in the Hurtgenwald during the Allied push but that was a s far as it went. Each side had patroling to do and setting up or destroying a Nebelwerfer battery and field phone set. If there is anything I can help you guys with anything about running a WW2 event please ask me. I'm excited to see a crew close to me run an event. My website is not super awesome but perhaps it can be useful in some ways poke around it please. www.worldwar2airsoft.com | |
