Your right dude, I think FA is under the impression that kids who were playing at 15 are going to magically turn sides once they turn 18; sure they'll get the people who start playing once they were over 18, but my loyalty lies to you guys, not FA; and it'll always be that way. In when all of you are in diapers in retirement homes, I'll spoon feed all of you

| I know this is a little late but I've just joined the Firezone site. I'm 15 and have had the same problems with FA. I tried looking for a nice site to get the know about what's happening in the world of airsoft, and the first thing they did was boot me. Well that almost ruined my airsoft expierence, and then I found out about airsoftsociety. Good website, but it was worldwide, and not too many people knew about Central Florida fields. Now when I saw some guys talking about Firezone I was pretty interested. A couple of my buddies and I (which are also under 18) have been into airsoft for a while but haven't been able to find a field to play, we've been playing in our backyards for the most part. I completely agree with ya Shar: FA is going to lose some pretty good players because of age. I'm hoping I can come out to the field sometime and play with you guys. | |

| I dont know if you have attended regular games or have just been a backyard brawler, please read the Welcome Center info and get yourself familiar with the way things operate, safety rules, and other general stuff.

| Backyard brawler, but I'd like to get serious about the sport and play at some fields. | |

| Guys, I was a responsible married adult at 17 and living on our own. Now that's not to say it was the right thing to do. But I know that there are young men under 18 out there, that have their shit together. I see nothing wrong with letting the younger guys play as long as safety rules are followed. I can't even start to tell you how much shit I caught on FA last year, when I aloud a couple minors to play at a few of the games I hosted. It was crazy! I think we should offer a few games at least with a 15+ and up or 14 and under whith parent game. What gets me, is kids play paintball all day long at the same fields we use and no one in the paintball community complains. It's like the FA guys are just being snobs to the younger generation..... I've heard the excuse of "insurance problems" for game producers if we let minors play and that's BS. If that were true, they wouldn't be playing paintball! Which, by the way. Is far more "dangerous" than airsoft! Just my two cents on this topic.... I plan on hosting a "father/son" game sometime soon, so my kids can get to play with me. My 10 year old is a great shot and always wears the proper safety gear. He knows not to shoot animals and other stuff. Hell, when I was his age. I had a real-steal BB gun and didn't hurt nobody and I got a 20 gauge shotgun for my birthday at 14. So what's the real problem with minors in airsoft????? That's my question.......

| I also like the 15+ with 14 and under requiring parents to be on site. In other words, the parents are also players bringing their kids or the parents are simply there the whole time.
Keeps us from having to babysit and keeps those under 15's in check and not doing anything on a whim that will get themselves or someone else hurt.
Not saying 16-17 year olds don't do stupid shit without thinking of person or property, airsoft grenade in the parking lot of PB world anybody? :-P
And ALSO not to say that OLDER people don't do stupid shit all the time... I've seen my share of "Weekend Rambo's" climbing things they shouldn't and then getting hurt, not calling hits or just in general being total assholes.
I guess the difference is that if we have a 14 year old on site being an asshole, they can't really drive themselves home... Honestly, if we have a 15 year old on site being an asshole, neither can they.
Does anyone else agree that maybe we should only let 14 and under play so long as the parent is present at all times? Seems like a good way to cover our asses in all sorts of ways, both legal and from an issue standpoint.

| You guys under 18 are welcome to come to PSJ anytime. Matter of a fact, we should get the whole group to show up on our field here. | |

| I'm not gonna lie guys, I'm thinking 16+ and if your under 16 you have to bring a parent or brother/sister (close relative)
I'm still 15, and my mom won't play; nor will my dad, but I think things will be a lot smoother; I'm willing to sacrifice the 5 months
Also, I love how things are free flowing here, but I think we're gonna have to solidify the rule here and enforce it, or else I think things will turn south.
I see a a very important thing going here and I have a feeling that this little group of ours is going to turn things around for minors, last sundays game was good and all of us minors there were awesome; but sooner or later something worse than the PB world incident is gonna happen, someones gonna get hurt and FA is gonna catch wind of it; and shit will be going down.
As you guys know, I'd love to see minors out there so they can get into it as much as I do; but we need to play it safe; I'm also thinking that were probally gonna be waivers.
Just my two cents on it.
On an unrelated note, I obviously take this matter very seirsolly, BECAUSE IT DIRECTLY EFFECTS ME!!! I just received a not so nice e-mail very recently regarding this subject, I know it wasn't any of you guys; but that person was very immature.

| You guys just need to make a decision and putit in the books. Page 11 and no clear decision... What is this Congress?
There are a couple event organizers out there that have been having successful games that include minors of all ages. So it can be done.
If you have parents out there that will leave their kids on a filed for a few hours with strangers, then those are the kids I dont wanna play with.. Irresponsible parents will mostly generate irresponsible Children. I could not imagine leaving my 14 year old to play in the woods with a bunch of strangers...
Either you are doing it, or you are not.. The people who dont mind will find the games, and those that do, will not.. That simple.
TC 6mm Junkies SOCOM And now Firezone?
And FTR, Insurance for games that include Minors is a bit more expensive, but most fields already have that covered, thsoe event organizors that have their own coverage will def see an increase.

| I'll be honest, I'd LOVE to see us do 16+ and be done with it. I was only saying 15 for Babtrooper's benefit. I feel though that he should be "grandfathered" in though but anyone else should be told "sorry".
Shwell is right, all this back and forth makes us look like idiots. We have to set the bar or everyone who come's to play will set it for us.
If you guys want to still go as young as 14, I'd say that they HAVE to have parents or at the very least an older brother/sister/ family member there AT ALL TIMES. Someone who is actually responsible for them. Not just a "good friend who vouches for them".

| Hey I'm 16 in a a month and a half, I can wait. I think we've already bent the rules enough; I can wait a month and five days =P. What upsets me though is I thought we had this rule already set up; it seems the forum was in agreement with what Mark posted up for rules... My final thoughts on this is that only the regular members decided this, Shar,Tedder,,sharky, Geist, Eric they're the guys who run this place and I think it should be them who have the final say. | |
